Made by Noda Horo

Noda Enamelware, founded in 1934, is a factory that has been dedicated to making enamelware products since its beginning. The factory originally manufactured washbasins for use in hospitals and scientific supplies for use in laboratories. But they began to produce kitchenwares as well since enamel is hygienic and durable. After the products released, many professional chefs found their high quality and have preferred to use them for decades.
Noda enamelware, which produces small lots and a wide variety of products, is carefully manufactured one piece at a time by the handwork of craftsmen developed through years of experience.
Their products require difficult work and can only be made by highly skilled craftsmen.

How Enamelware is produced

Enamelware is made by molding steel plate (iron), applying a glassy glaze, and firing it at a high temperature of 850 degrees Celsius.
It has the qualities of both iron, which is strong but easily rusted, and glass, which is beautiful but easily broken.

It takes a lot of time and effort to make enamel. It requires skilled craftsmen and high technology.
Unfortunately, the number of skilled craftsmen has been declining and there are few factories that can manufacture enamel products.
