Sake glass with a distinct and sturdy base, designed by Yanagi Sori in 1976 at the request of the Japan Sake Brewers Association.
Not only is it visually appealing, but it also offers ease of grip and stability. The rim provides a smooth touch to the lips.
Suitable for serving desserts like ice cream and sherbet as well.
Produced by Toyo Sasaki Glass, a Japanese glassware company that traces its origins back to a glass business established in 1902.

 

 

Sori Yanagi

Sori Yanagi (1915-2011) is one of Japan's leading industrial designers who played a role in Japanese modern design developed after World War II to the high-growth period in the Japanese economy.
Consistently taking the user's point of view and thinking through the design process by making models by hand, he designed many products that enrich daily life and can be used for a long time.
His works are not limited to kitchenware and furniture, but also include toys, objets d'art, Olympic torch stands, tunnel openings, pedestrian bridges, etc. His designs with functional beauty have won him worldwide recognition.
