Story of the Turtle on the package

The hexagonal shape is a symbol of harmony and stability. Found abundantly in nature—such as in turtle shells, snowflakes, honeycombs, and basalt columns—this balanced form has long been cherished in Japanese culture. In particular, the hexagon is associated with the traditional kikkō (亀甲) pattern, inspired by the turtle’s shell, which represents longevity and good fortune.

What is Japanese Candle

Japanese candles ("Wa Rousoku" in Japanese) are 100% plant-based. They are made from the fruit of the Japanese sumac tree (Rhus succedanea) or rice bran wax, and Washi paper for the core.
Japanese candles are mentioned in the "Taihei-ki" around 1375. It is thought that they began to be made around that time.
