These traditional monpe pants are made from durable, high-quality fabric, a woven cotton textile produced in Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture. Using yarn-dyed threads, the fabric is tightly woven to ensure strength while maintaining a soft, breathable feel.
Made from 100% cotton, these pants are comfortable against the skin and excellent at absorbing moisture—ideal for both relaxing at home and working outdoors. The waist is fully elasticated for an easy, adjustable fit.
The fabric features a classic navy base with a traditional arare (hailstone) pattern, a timeless motif in Kurume weaving. Designed and produced entirely in Japan—from weaving to sewing—this piece reflects generations of Japanese craftsmanship.
Originally worn for farming and labor, monpe pants are now loved for their comfort, functionality, and heritage style.
