A Modern Take on the Traditional Kappogi — Made in Kurume, Japan

This tunic is a modern reinterpretation of the traditional kappogi — a Japanese smock apron originally worn over clothing to keep it clean while cooking or doing housework.

Crafted from traditional Kurume woven cotton fabric produced in Kurume, Japan, it features a durable dobby weave that highlights refined texture and authentic craftsmanship.

The front-button opening allows for easy wear, while elasticated cuffs provide comfort during daily tasks. Side slant pockets keep the silhouette neat, and gentle gathers on the front and back create a relaxed A-line shape.

Combining practicality with modern style, this tunic is perfect for cooking, housework, errands, or casual outings.

Please Note:
Traditional dyeing techniques may cause color to bleed during the first wash. Wash separately from other items.
Color may also transfer if rubbed against other garments while wet.
This item is made of 100% cotton and may shrink, so we recommend air drying.
