Japanese Incense "Hana-no-Hana" by Nippon Kodo

This incense was created in 1911 by Yujiro Kito, a highly regarded incense creator in Meiji era. He was captivated by the beautiful floral scents of Western perfumes that were introduced to Japan at that time, and he undertook the challenge of crafting incense with these alluring Western fragrances.

It is believed that this incense served as the original inspiration for the floral incense that is currently produced in Japan.

Even after more than a century since its creation, "Hana no Hana," which laid the groundwork for floral incense, continues to be adored by many individuals in Japan. 

The classical floral woody fragrance blends three types of florals, "rose," "lily," and "violet," with oriental sandalwood from India and a subtle musk scent.

• Rose: A beautiful rose, sweet floral woody fragrance. With a foundation of exquisite rose, spicy notes, and a gentle touch of vanilla, it offers a vibrant and sweet floral woody scent with the aroma of Indian sandalwood and a mellow musk in an oriental style.

• Lily: The fragrance captures the essence of fresh lily, green floral woody scent. It embodies a sophisticated and green floral woody fragrance by combining fresh white lily, green floral elements, and a slightly bitter leafy green note with the oriental touch of Indian sandalwood and a mellow musk scent.

• Violet: Delicate violet, powdery floral woody fragrance. A soft floral arrangement centered around charming violets, presented in a moist powdery scent with an oriental influence of Indian sandalwood and a mellow musk, creating a serene powdery floral woody fragrance.
