This "Harimi" dustpan features a modern design that looks simple but is actually complex to make. Skilled artisans from Kishu carefully coat it with three layers of Kakishibu (persimmon tannin) to give it strength, making its production process quite lengthy and requiring a lot of work.

The persimmon tannin coat not only enhances the look of the dustpan but also act as a natural insect repellent and assuring a clean and hygienic environment.

In the Kishu region, famous for its traditional Japanese cleaning tools made from plants, local artisans carefully handmake a dustpan called Harimi. "Harimi" also means "full of fruit" in Japanese, symbolizing prosperity, making it a lucky item.<br>

It is very convenient for quick use. It does not generate static electricity, which is common with plastic products, so you can clean comfortably.

Japanese Table Broom is also available.

Made by Fukami Sangyo

In the Kishu region of Japan, now known as Wakayama Prefecture, hemp palms have thrived for centuries. It was in this fertile ground that their founder, Yoji Fukami, initiated the production of hemp palm rope from his home around 1950. Fukami Sangyo has since dedicated over 70 years to the development of natural materials, continuing a rich tradition of quality and sustainability.
Drawing on the traditional methods of crafting cleaning tools, their artisans meticulously handcraft each product, incorporating their innovative manufacturing techniques that enhance the original process.
