This dead stock highball glass mug comes from Japan’s renowned whiskey maker, Suntory. It features an illustration of Uncle Torys, the beloved mascot introduced in 1958 during Japan’s era of rapid economic growth. Designed to connect with the hard-working salarymen of the time, Uncle Torys remains an enduring cultural icon.

The illustration was by Ryohei Yanagihara, a iconic illustrator from the Showa and Heisei periods, known for his work on many memorable advertisements.

This original illustration glass mag is now considered premier compared to other Highball glass mugs in Japan.
