Sakura Wooden Sake Cup Black "Shuku-Hai" (Ishikawa Japan)
Sakura Wooden Sake Cup Black "Shuku-Hai" (Ishikawa Japan)
Sake cup handmade from Japanese Cherry Birch in the Yamanaka region of Ishikawa prefecture, a traditional lacquerware production area in Japan.
It's named "Shuku-Hai" meaning a cup for celebration.
This Shuku-Hai features a sleek, matte black lacquer finish on the outside, giving it a sharp and cool aesthetic, distinct from the original gentle wood grain design.
The streamlined design, which widens towards the mouth, is designed not only for beauty when placed on the table, but also to feel good on the sip.
It's perfect for enjoying sake, but the lacquer coating also makes it suitable for hot beverages like tea or coffee, as well as wine. The lacquer ensures that there is no color transfer or staining, regardless of the beverage.
